Time to update this blog again.
Many old pictures will be posted here.
Let's start with some Warhammer 40K, more specifically Gaunt's Ghosts from Dan Abnett's books.

Akira Pencils
I finally scanned the pencil-version of Akira. I was too busy (and also too lazy) to do so. Because this also is made on an A2-size, I had to scan 6 different parts, because it was too big for my scanner. (I could have done it in 4 parts, but then all the parts had to fit perfectly, and now I was able to erase parts and move them around more freely. At the left-middle you can still see a few parts which didn't fit together straight, but I can live with that.
You can also see the tape which I used to fit to A3 papers together. Akira is also standing more straight then in the inks. It looked better to change him a bit forward.
So enjoy.

Akira Ink
Who doesn't know Akira (seriously, if you don't, stop what you're doing and start watching it)? Maybe one of the most famous anime out there, probably the one who made anime popular in the west. Even though the movie is over 20 years old, it still is amazing, looks great and is timeless. And guess what, the comic is even better. That one is a true masterpiece, it looks gorgeous and the story makes much more sense.
I made this one for an anime filmfestival in Arnhem, called Yume Ichi Ya. I made it on A2, which is huge for me. I mostly work on A5, which is 16 times smaller, so it was quiet a challenge, but I liked it a lot.
